Any restrictions to the bicycle rentals?

The Electric Bicycles require a minimum age of 14 years old.  The pedal bicycles do not have an age requirement.

What if I have never ridden a bicycle before?  

Previous bicycle-riding knowledge is recommended, as there are no bike paths in Newport.  You will be operating the bicycle on the right-hand shoulder of the road, with traffic.

Should I make a reservation?

Yes. We strongly suggest you make a reservation to guarantee availability of bicycles, since we have a limited number in our fleet.

What is required to make a reservation?

You need a credit card, email address and a cell phone number.  You will not be charged for your tour at the time of the reservation.  However, if you fail to honor your reservation, or do not cancel before the twenty-four hour cancellation period, you will be charged for the price of the tour.

What can I wear/bring ?

Each bicycle has storage, ranging from a small bag to an open basket.  We suggest closed-toed shoes and long pants.

Where can I pick the bikes up from?  

Segway of Newport in the heart of downtown Newport at 438 Thames Street.  (Between Young and Howard Street)  The closest parking lot is on Lee’s Wharf, the right-hand turn before our store.
